Work in Progress
Venø is creating a Performance Art film in which he performs an average of four actions per month, aiming to complete a total of 52 actions.
In 2020, Venø returned to the farm where he grew up, accompanied by his spouse and their two young children. This return marked the beginning of a deeply personal project—one that serves as a healing process, a reclamation of space, and an exploration of his evolving ideas as an Arthemist.
At the heart of this project is a desire to provide people with tools—not in a literal sense, but as a mindset and a way of being. Venø believes that through engaging with these actions, individuals can uncover their own paths of exploration and transformation. Rather than dictating or preaching, his intention is to inspire and guide, offering frameworks for deeper introspection and self-discovery.
Venø hopes that people seek a deeper understanding of themselves and the world—not through passive consumption, but through active exploration and transformation. He encourages individuals to move beyond societal distractions and surface-level engagement, embracing authenticity over conformity, valuing the unquantifiable aspects of life such as empathy and curiosity, and engaging with the unknown as a means of growth. His work invites people to shift their perceptions, breaking free from rigid structures and simulations to experience life more directly and intentionally.
Venø is also the author of Arthemist Statement 2.6: Why Create Art Nobody Asked For?—a book that delves further into his philosophy and artistic approach. More information about the book can be found at: https://arthemist.com
